Kitaya was founded by brothers Tanay and Yash Goyal, and is based in Alwar, Rajasthan. Every leaf sold under the Kitaya and TeaGate names is sourced directly from gardens in Assam and blended in-house, with every batch tasted by the company's own master tea tasters before it is packed.
Tanay and Yash set out to bring genuinely good Assam tea into everyday life: kadak in taste, strong in colour, the kind of chai people actually want at home. That same focus on character sits behind both Kitaya and TeaGate.
Tea, the brothers believe, has the power to bring people together, creating a sense of collectiveness that reaches across cultural, regional and social lines.
Every batch is tasted by hand, checked and re-checked, before it earns either name. It is a deliberate step, not an afterthought, and one the brothers consider central to how Kitaya and TeaGate are made.
For Tanay and Yash, that care is the point. A cup of Kitaya or TeaGate is meant to be shared, wherever it is poured.
